Childhood Weight Management Program

Obesity in children is on the rise. The percentage of overweight children, according to the Centers for Disease Control, has more than doubled in the last twenty years.

Obesity increases a child's risk for diabetes, hypertension, sleep apnea, and joint problems. Overweight children are more likely to become overweight adults. Unhealthy diet and physical activity patterns are known risk factors for the three leading causes of death in adults - cancer, cardiovascular disease, and stroke.

Prevention is the key to combating the childhood obesity epidemic.
